Peugeot RCZ
You only have to look at the name of Peugeot's newest model to appreciate there's something special about it. The RCZ is the first passenger vehicle from the French manufacturer to divert from the current zero-based nomenclature, a move intended to establish the coupe as part of a new breed of desirable Peugeots.
And the RCZ does look rather irresistible. Incredulously based on the frumpy 308 hatchback, the low-slung coupe is almost unchanged from the 2007 308 RCZ concept - including the retention of the striking aluminium roof arches and "double-bubble" roof.
The Peugeot's undulating dome gives it a visual point of difference over an obvious rival - the Audi TT. Its exclusive nature is given another twist by the fact it is built in Austria - by automotive contractor Magna Steyr - rather than in France.
