Porsche has sent down a new video clip that details the development of its popular Panamera Sport Turismo concept, unveiled at last year's Paris Motor Show.
From the early sketch stage through to clay modelling and its Paris debut, the clip offers an insight into how Porsche's Weissach R&D team does what it does.
Porsche has yet to say if the Sport Turismo will make the leap to market, but the German icon is known for sticking to production-focused concepts.
If nothing else, it is likely that the shooting brake-styled concept offers a glimpse of features in the next Panamera - particularly the headlights, front bumper and 911-inspired tail lights.
In concept form, the Sport Turismo's cabin is gifted with a spartan layout, ditching the usual switches and dials for a large LCD touchscreen display. This, too, will likely make way for a more conventional unit in production form.
Power in the Panamera Sport Turismo concept is provided by a plug-in hybrid arrangement, matching a supercharged 3.0 litre V6 with an electric motor.
The system is an evolution of the package already offered in the current Panamera S Hybrid and Cayenne S Hybrid models.
