2024 Mercedes-AMG C63 F1 Edition price, arrives in Australia
If the regular version of the new 500kW four-cylinder hybrid Mercedes-AMG C63 is too understated for you, a limited number of F1 Editions are coming to Australia with unique decals and trim.
The 2024 Mercedes-AMG C63 S E Performance F1 Edition has arrived in Australia ahead of this weekend's Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne.
The F1 Edition package will be available in "limited numbers" in Australia, for an extra $14,900 on top of the new C63's $187,900 plus on-road costs base price, itself about $20,000 dearer than the previous V8 C63.
There are no changes to the 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, electric motor and 6.1kWh battery pack, which in the standard 2.1-tonne C63 combine for 500kW and 1020Nm, and 0-100km/h in a claimed 3.4 seconds.
When the F1 Edition was slated for a July to September 2023 arrival – before the new C63 range was hit with delays – Mercedes-Benz said the special pack would be limited to 63 vehicles locally. It is unclear if that remains the case.
Finished in Manufaktur Alpine Grey paint, the F1 Edition gains grey-to-black AMG gradient decals on the doors, a red trim line around the lower edge of the car, and 20-inch black wheels with red highlights.
Included are the AMG Aerodynamics Package and AMG Night Package II, with a dark chrome front grille and badges. It's in addition to the already-standard AMG Night Package I with a black splitter, wheel-arch trim, mirror caps, window surrounds and beltline trim.
Inside, there are AMG Performance front bucket seats with black nappa leather upholstery, red stitching and embossed AMG logos, plus red seatbelts, unique red-accented carbon-fibre inlays, and illuminated red AMG logos on the door sills.
The AMG Performance steering wheel is wrapped in nappa leather and Dinamica microfibre – with red stitching – while there are F1 Edition logos on the dashboard and floor mats.
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz C63 S E Performance F1 Edition is in Australia now.
