2023 Suzuki Jimny Heritage price and specs
Suzuki Australia has introduced a new special edition of the Jimny four-wheel drive – even though it can't get enough of the standard model.
- 2023 Suzuki Jimny Heritage pricing and specifications
- Special edition limited to 300 examples, manual only
- Includes new decals, red mudflaps, other extras
- Priced from $33,490 plus on-road costs
The 2023 Suzuki Jimny Heritage limited-edition three-door has been announced for Australia – with unique decals and exterior tweaks – despite overwhelming demand for the regular models.
Priced from $33,490 plus on-road costs – $1500 dearer than the GLX manual model it is based on – Suzuki Australia claims the new Heritage special edition "celebrates Jimny's vibrant 4x4 history".
UPDATE, 2 March 2023, 10:06pm: Suzuki Australia has issued a correction for the Jimny Heritage's price. It costs $33,490 plus on-road costs, not $31,490 as initially announced – making it $1500 dearer than the GLX manual, not $500 cheaper. This story is otherwise unchanged.
It is available with a five-speed manual transmission only – after orders for the standard Jimny three-door automatic were paused in January amid 18-month wait times – and will be limited to just 300 cars nationally.
Suzuki Australia says buyers can register their interest on the Suzuki Australia website or through a dealer – through the same first-come, first-serve system as standard Jimny models – ahead of first showroom arrivals in April 2023.
The introduction of the limited edition is despite wait times of about six months on standard Jimny manual models, as reported in January 2023 – and orders being paused on automatic versions.
Compared to the Jimny GLX manual, the Heritage gains red front and rear mudflaps, a Jimny Heritage cargo tray, Heritage exterior decals, a "limited build badge", and an "exclusive Jimny Heritage pack".
It will be available in four colours: Jungle Green, Bluish Black, Medium Grey and White. All but White are believed to cost $695 extra – and the standard Jimny's two-tone colour combinations are not available.
Suzuki Australia says it will advise dealers – and post on its social media pages – as stock of Jimny Heritage editions of each of the four colours is sold out.
"Strictly 300 units in total of this retro legend will be available. These vehicles will sell out quickly. With swift delivery to follow, I encourage all serious buyers to jump in fast," Michael Pachota, Suzuki Australia general manager said in a media statement.
