2020 Hyundai Venue: New crossover’s name confirmed
All-new entry-level SUV headed for reveal at the New York motor show on April 17, with an Australian launch scheduled for later this year.
Hyundai has confirmed the name of its upcoming sub-Kona SUV – Venue.
Straying from its usual strategy of naming its crossover models after popular holiday destinations in the American region (Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe and Palisade), the company says 'Venue' references "a place where people want to be seen, or in this case, inside the vehicle".
Just a single image of the new model's rear badging has been distributed, showing 'Venue' script across the tailgate like the larger Palisade.
The Hyundai Venue will be revealed in full at the New York motor show on April 17.
Australia
Hyundai's local division has previously indicated it is expecting the new entry-level crossover in Australian showrooms in the second half of 2019.
Further details will come to hand in the lead-up to the local launch. Stay tuned.
