2014-2020 Hyundai Tucson recalled: 93,000 vehicles affected for fire risk
Hyundai says an electronics board could short circuit, creating an increased risk of fire.
Hyundai Australia has issued a recall of 93,572 examples of its Hyundai Tucson SUV (MY15-20) due to a potential fire risk with a circuit board, which forms part of the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says a short circuit in the electronics poses an increased risk of fire within the engine compartment – even when the engine is off.
Affected Tucson models were sold between 1 November 2014 and 30 November 2020.
